Sometimes seeds planted in a forgotten history blossom into an unforeseen harvest. This was true for Luke Ryder and Willa Harris. Ryder was a highly decorated New York City Police Captain and a Humanistic Astrologer. Harris was the District Attorney for a small town in the southern Appalachian Mountains and a religious fundamentalist. Through the confluence of circumstances that brought them together, they attempt to overcome bigotry, intolerance, violence, and a dark secret buried in the hypocritical soil of righteousness. Amid the turmoil, their respect blossomed into an unexpected romance they didn’t know how to handle.

The Ace of Wands is an ancient symbol representing a gift of illumination from the heavens, which guides its recipient through an arduous journey. This gift must however, be accompanied with courageous action to secure the journey's reward. Jake Shaw, a single father of a ten-year old boy, aims to protect his son at any cost. With his business failing, their home threatened by foreclosure and a sociopath seeking revenge, Jake must decide whether to re-enter the corrupt but profitable world of his sordid past or risk losing everything. Then a chance meeting with a stranger impels Jake to seek guidance from this unexpected source.
